Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the cylinder head mating surface.
  2. Install a new EGR valve gasket.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the EGR valve with the retaining bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the EGR valve retaining bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft)  .

  4. Connect the EGR valve electrical connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
