Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Accelerator Cable/Throttle Body Lever

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.

  4. Remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator control cable bracket.

  6. Remove the accelerator cable from the cable routing bracket.

  8. Disconnect the accelerator cable (1) from the bracket clip (2).
  9. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

  11. Remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal.

  13. Remove the accelerator cable panel insulator retainer (2) from the accelerator cable (1).
  14. Squeeze the accelerator cable tangs (3) and push the cable through the bulkhead (4).
  15. Remove the accelerator cable.
