Installation Procedure

  1. Position the seat belt inside the vehicle.

  2. Attach the seat belt pretensioner to the hanger bracket.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the seat belt fastener (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt fastener to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  4. Route the seat belt webbing and anchor through the seat belt guide loop.

  5. Install the seat belt anchor to the floor (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the seat belt anchor fastener to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

  6. Connect the electrical connector.
  7. Connect the connector positive assurance (1) to the seat belt pretensioner.
  8. Install the lock pillar trim. Refer to Trim Replacement - Lock Pillar in Interior Trim.
  9. Enable SIR zone 6 or SIR zone 2. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 6 or SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 2 in SIR.
