Removal Procedure
- Remove the intake air inlet duct from the throttle body.
- Remove the breather hose (1) from the throttle body.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the throttle position (TP) sensor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the idle air control (IAC) valve.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System
in Engine Cooling.

- Disconnect the lower coolant line (1) from the throttle body.
- Disconnect the upper coolant line (2) from the throttle body.

- Disconnect the accelerator control cable (1) from the throttle body by rotating the throttle lever (3) to wide open throttle (WOT) and removing the cable end from the slot.
- Disconnect the A/T throttle cable (2), if necessary, from the throttle body throttle lever (3) by removing the cable end from the throttle lever slot.

- Remove the two nuts and/or 2 bolts (1) from the throttle body.
- Remove the throttle body (2) and the gasket (3) from the intake manifold (4).
- Clean any throttle body gasket material (2) that remains on the intake manifold (1).
