Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the fuel return hose (1) to the fuel pressure regulator (2).

  3. Install a new O-ring (3) on the fuel pressure regulator (1).
  4. Apply a thin coat of oil to the O-ring (3) in order to ease installation.
  5. Install the fuel pressure regulator (1) into the fuel rail (2).

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Secure the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel rail with the two bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Connect the vacuum line (1) to the fuel pressure regulator.
  9. Connect the battery.
  10. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF.
  11. Turn ON the fuel pump with the scan tool.
  12. Check for fuel leaks and repair as necessary.
