Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: The new sensor comes with an antiseize coating on the sensor threads. Take precautions in order to prevent the removal of any of the antiseize coating prior to installation. If the sensor was removed and is being reinstalled, an antiseize compound must be applied to the threads before installation.
  1. Install HO2S1 (1) to the exhaust manifold with the J 29533-A  , J 39194-B  , or an equivalent.

    Tighten:  Tighten HO2S sensor to 45 N.m (32 lb ft).

  2. Connect the HO2S 1 electrical connector (1).

  1. Install HO2S 1 (2) to the exhaust manifold (1) with the J 29533-A  , J 39194-B  , or an equivalent.

    Tighten:  Tighten HO2S sensor to 45 N.m (32 lb ft).

  2. Connect the HO2S 1 electrical connector.
