Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a thin coat of motor oil to the fuel injectors O-rings.
  2. Install the fuel injectors (2) to the fuel rail (3).
  3. Install the fuel rail (3) to the intake manifold.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the 3 retaining bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  7. Install the fuel pipes (2) hold down bolt (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

  9. Install the intake manifold reinforcement bracket (2).
  10. Install both retaining bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (19 lb ft).

  11. Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the fuel injectors (2).
  12. Install the scan tool.
  13. Turn ON the ignition, leaving the engine OFF.
  14. Turn ON the fuel pump with the scan tool.
  15. Check for leaks and repair as necessary.
