Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
  2. Remove the bolt (1) and the sensor wire harness clip from the engine.
  3. Remove the bolt (3) securing the CKP sensor to the front engine cover.

  5. Remove the CKP sensor (3) with wire harness from the engine.
  6. Inspect the CKP sensor signal rotor for damaged or missing teeth through the CKP sensor opening.
