Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) may be difficult to remove at temperatures of more than 48°C (120°F). In order to prevent damage to any threads in the exhaust manifold, allow the exhaust system to cool down before attempting to remove the HO2S.
  1. Disconnect the HO2S1 electrical connector.
  2. Remove the HO2S1 (1) from the exhaust manifold with the J 29533-A  , J 39194-B  , or an equivalent.

  2. Remove the HO2S 1 (2) from the exhaust manifold (1) with the J 29533-A  , J 39194-B  , or an equivalent.
