Removal Procedure
- Remove the front suspension support brace (1). Refer to Front Suspension Support Brace Replacement
in Front Suspension.
- Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System
in Engine Cooling.

- Remove the four fasteners and the engine surge tank cover (1).

- Remove the four nuts (1) retaining the intake surge tank (3).
- Remove the two air inlet duct (4) fasteners (2) and remove the engine surge tank (3).
- Loosen the hose clamps and remove the intake air inlet duct (4) from the throttle body.
- Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

- Disconnect the two coolant hoses (1, 3) from the throttle body (2).
- Disconnect idle air control (IAC) air hose from the top of the throttle body.

- Disconnect the accelerator control cable from the throttle body. Rotate the throttle lever (1) to wide open throttle (WOT) and remove the cable end from the slot (2).
- Remove the two fasteners and the accelerator cable bracket from the throttle body.
- Extend the transmission throttle valve cable and disconnect the cable end from the throttle lever.

- Remove the two bolts and the four nuts attaching the intake collector (1) to the intake manifold.
- Remove the two bolts and the two nuts attaching the throttle body (3) to the intake collector (1).
- Remove the breather hose (2) from the throttle body (3).
- Move the throttle body towards the front, while sliding the intake collector towards the rear, in order to remove the throttle body from the vehicle.
