Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure
in Engine Electrical.
- Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator adapter stud.
- Remove the cruise control cable. Refer to Cruise Control Cable Replacement
in Cruise Control.

- Remove the accelerator cable. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Replacement .
- Remove the stud and nuts retaining the accelerator control cable bracket and position bracket aside.

- Disconnect the (IAC) valve harness connector.

- Disconnect the (TP) sensor harness connector.

- Remove the throttle body retaining studs.

- Remove the throttle body assembly.
- Discard the throttle body seal.
