Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
    2. Fig 1: View Of Fuel Injector

  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the left bank spark plug wires from the distributor. Refer to Spark Plug Wire Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the fuel pipes at the rear of the intake manifold.

  5. Remove the injector fuel inlet and outlet pipe retainer nuts.
  6. Remove the injector fuel inlet and the outlet pipe retainer.

  7. Remove the rear fuel pipe bracket retaining bolt.

  8. Pull straight up on the fuel pipes in order to remove the fuel pipes from the fuel meter body.
  9. Remove the O-ring seals from both ends of the fuel feed and return pipes.
  10. Discard the O-ring seals.
