Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the generator to the generator bracket and insert the generator bolt.
Tighten:
- Tighten the generator bracket upper bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb ft) .
- Tighten the generator bracket lower bolt to 40 N.m (30 lb ft) .

Connect the harness connector to the back of the generator, and the generator lead to the battery.

Route the serpentine accessory drive belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Drive Belt Replacement (2.5L) in Power Steering System.
Relieve tension on the belt by first applying downward pressure on the automatic tension roller bolt and releasing pressure once the belt is in place.
Connect the negative battery cable.
