Installation Procedure

Apply a small amount of clean motor oil to the O-ring (6).
Install the NEW O-ring (6) on the camshaft sensor (5).
Reconnect camshaft sensor (5) and (6) to the jumper harness (4).
Reconnect the engine harness connector (3) to the jumper harness (2).
Install the camshaft sensor assembly (4, 5, 6) to the front cover (7).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the mounting bolts (1) for the camshaft sensor (5).
Tighten: Tighten the mounting bolts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Install the generator mounting bracket. Refer to Generator Bracket Replacement in Engine Electrical.
