Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Saturn L300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the I/P compartment partially into the opening.
  2. Secure the BCM to the I/P compartment slots
  3. Install the BCM harness connectors.

  5. Route the lamp wiring harness through the lamp opening and connect the wiring harness to the I/P compartment lamp.
  6. Snap the lamp into the compartment bin.
  7. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  8. Install the I/P compartment bin with fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  9. Install the I/P compartment door. Refer to Door Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  11. Install the right side heater outlet to the I/P compartment bin using the retainers.

  13. Install the closeout panel to the right side lower I/P using the retainers.
  14. Operate the I/P compartment lamp and the I/P compartment door to ensure proper operation.
  15. Program the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
