Installation Procedure

    NOTE: To facilitate installation of the tank pressure sensor into its mounting boss on the fuel pump module cover, lightly lubricate the multi-ribbed seal on the tank pressure sensor. A drop of clean engine oil is sufficient.
  1. Install the tank pressure sensor into the fuel pump module cover mounting boss.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining nut and washer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the FTP sensor nut to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the electrical connector to the FTP sensor.
  5. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
