Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying O2 Sensor & Related Components

    NOTE: Refer to Heated Oxygen and Oxygen Sensor Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Disconnect the connector (1) for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Excessive Force and Oxygen Sensor Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Using the J 39194-B  , remove the HO2S (2). See Special Tools .
