Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the O-ring with clean engine oil. Replace the O-ring if the O-ring is damaged.
    2. Fig 1: View Of CMP Sensor

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the CMP sensor.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retaining bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb ft).

  3. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.
  4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement in Power Steering Systems.
