Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Air Intake Duct

  1. Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .

  4. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.

  6. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

  8. Remove the accelerator control cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement .

  10. Disconnect the throttle body coolant bypass hoses.
  11. Disconnect the heater pipe nut at the throttle body.
  12. Remove the nuts and bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold.
  13. Remove the throttle body assembly.
  14. Remove the old gasket.
