8.6 INCH REAR AXLE
The distance from the bottom edge of the fill plug hole and the lubricant level should be 15-40 mm (0.6-1.6 in).

If the measurement is greater than 40 mm (1.6 in), add lubricant until the level is between 15-40 mm (0.6-1.6 in) from the bottom edge of the fill plug hole.

9.75, 10.5 INCH REAR AXLE
The lubricant level should be between 0-6 mm (0-0.25 in) below the fill plug opening.

If the level is low, add lubricant until the level is even with the bottom edge of the fill plug opening.
