Brake Hose Replacement: Rear

Raise and support vehicle.
Remove the rear wheel.
Disconnect the brake hose (A) from the brake line (B) using a 10 mm flare-nut wrench (C).

Remove and discard the brake hose clips (A) from the brake hose (B).

Remove the brake hose from the brake hose bracket (C).
Install the brake hose (A) through the brake hose bracket (B).

Connect the brake line (A) to the brake hose (B) loosely.

Install the new brake hose clips (C) on the brake hose.
Tighten the 10 mm flare nut (D) to the specified torque values.
After installing the brake hose, bleed the brake system (see BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING ).
Do the following checks:
- Check the brake hose and line joint for leaks, and tighten if necessary.
- Check the brake hose for interference and twisting.
Clean the mating surfaces of the brake drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.
