Brake Hose Replacement: Rear

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Remove the rear wheel.
- Disconnect the brake hose (A) from the brake line (B) using a 10 mm flare-nut wrench (C).
- Remove and discard the brake hose clips (A) from the brake hose (B).
- Remove the brake hose from the brake hose bracket (C).
- Install the brake hose (A) through the brake hose bracket (B).
- Connect the brake line (A) to the brake hose (B) loosely.
- Install the new brake hose clips (C) on the brake hose.
- Tighten the 10 mm flare nut (D) to the specified torque values.
- After installing the brake hose, bleed the brake system (see BRAKE SYSTEM BLEEDING ).
- Do the following checks:
- Check the brake hose and line joint for leaks, and tighten if necessary.
- Check the brake hose for interference and twisting.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the brake drum and the inside of the wheel, then install the rear wheel.
