Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the EI system ignition coil adapter mating surface.
  2. Install the new EGR valve gasket.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  3. Install the EGR valve with the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the EGR valve retaining bolts to 20 N.m (15 lb ft)  .

  4. Connect the vacuum hose to the EGR valve.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
