Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the right front tire and wheel.
2. Remove the splash shield.
3. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (1) from the knock sensor.




4. Loosen and remove the bank 2 knock sensor (2).

Installation Procedure

Important: DO NOT apply thread sealant to the sensor threads. The sensor threads are coated at the factory. Applying additional sealant affects the sensors ability to detect detonation.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install and tighten the bank 2 knock sensor (2).

Tighten the sensor to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




2. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the knock sensor.
3. Install the splash shield.
4. Install the right front tire and wheel.
