Installation Procedure

Verify that all the electrical components are OFF such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
Clean corrosion from the negative battery cable using a metal brush.
Install the battery negative cable to the battery.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the clamping bolt to the negative cable.
Tighten: Tighten the battery negative cable to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in) .
Reset the radio stations and the clock.
