Removal Procedure

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill-LE5, L61) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill-LNF) or Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716 Fill) .
  2. Remove the heat shield from the around the electrical connector, if necessary.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

  5. Remove the ECT.
