Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Fuel Tank Heat Shield To Fuel Tank Retaining Nuts

  1. Position the fuel tank heat shield (2) to the vehicle.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the fuel tank heat shield to fuel tank retaining nuts (1) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
  3. Install the propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement (Except 4L60) .
  4. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
