Removal Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Clean all of the following areas before performing any disconnections in order to avoid possible contamination in the system:

    • The fuel pipe connections
    • The hose connections
    • The areas surrounding the connections
  1. Loosen the fuel filler cap to relieve any vapour pressure.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the EVAP engine tube (1) from the evaporative emission chassis pipe. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Disconnect the EVAP engine tube (2) from the EVAP valve solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  5. Remove the EVAP engine tube (2) from the engine compartment.
