Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Front Fuel/Brake Pipe Assembly Protection Plate

  1. Manoeuvre and install the fuel pipe (4) to the vehicle.
  2. NOTE:

    Observe the marked positions for the fuel/brake pipe retainers (2) when installing the fuel/brake pipe retainers (2) to the fuel/brake pipe assembly (5).

  3. Install all the fuel/brake pipe retainers (2) to the fuel/brake pipes assembly (5).
  4. Install the front fuel/brake pipe assembly protection plate (1) to the vehicle.

  6. Install the rear fuel/brake pipe assembly stone guard to the vehicle.
  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Install the rear fuel/brake pipe assembly stone guard retaining nuts (1) and tighten to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

    NOTE:

    Listen for an audible click to confirm correct installation of the fuel pipe connector.

  10. Connect the fuel pipe connector (1).
  11. Install the removed heat shields.
  12. Install the engine. Refer to Engine Replacement .
  13. Install the exhaust system. Refer to Exhaust System Replacement .
  14. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
