Installation Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

NOTE: DO NOT apply thread sealant to the sensor threads. The sensor threads are coated at the factory. Applying additional sealant affects the sensors ability to detect detonation.

Install and tighten the knock sensor (2).
Tighten: Tighten the sensor to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Connect the knock sensor electrical connector (2).
Install the radiator air lower baffle and deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Lower Baffle and Deflector Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
