Circuit/System Description

The hybrid powertrain control module 2 monitors a pilot signal from the electronic vehicle supply equipment. The hybrid powertrain control module 2 utilizes this signal to manage the charging process between the electronic vehicle supply equipment and the hybrid powertrain control module 2.

Under normal charging conditions the control pilot signal is generated by the electronic vehicle supply equipment. This diagnostic runs with the cord set disconnected to verify the vehicle side circuit integrity. The diagnostic signal is generated internally by the hybrid powertrain control module 2.
