Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    DO NOT use the throttle body gasket again. Install a NEW gasket during assembly.

  1. Install a new throttle body to intake manifold gasket (2). Align the locating tab of the gasket with the notch in the manifold.
  2. Install the throttle body (1) to the intake manifold.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the throttle body to intake manifold retaining bolts (3) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
  4. Install the electrical wire harness connector from the throttle body.
  5. Install the outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement (L99 or LS3) , Air Cleaner Resonator and Outlet Duct Replacement (LSA) .
  6. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle/Idle Learn .
