Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Catalytic Converter, Exhaust Gasket And Fasteners

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the NEW catalytic converter (1) with a NEW gasket (2) and tighten the exhaust front pipe fasteners (3) to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  2. Install the exhaust service clamp (2) onto the exhaust muffler and the NEW catalytic converter. Tighten the exhaust clamp fasteners (1) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
  3. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
