Installation Procedure
- Position the power steering pump (2) in the vehicle through the right wheel opening.
- Align the bolt holes in the power steering pump with the bolt holes in the bracket (1).
- Install the 2 bolts (1, 2) to the right side of the power steering pump (3) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Install the bolt (1) to the left side of the power steering pump (2) and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Connect the power steering fluid reservoir hose (1) to the power steering pump (2).
- Connect the power steering fluid cooling pipe (5) to the power steering pump.
- Install a NEW power steering gear inlet hose O-ring seal (3).
- Connect the power steering gear inlet hose to the steering gear. Refer to Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement .
- Connect the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
- Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.
- Remove the drain pans.
