Disassembly Procedure

    Fig 1: Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pipe

  1. Remove the evaporative emission canister purge pipe (1).
  2. Disconnect the fuel tank recirculation pipe connector (2).
  3. Disconnect the fuel tank wiring harness (3) electrical connectors from the following:
    • Fuel tank pump
    • Fuel tank pressure sensor
    • Evaporative emission canister solenoid valve
  4. Remove the fuel tank vent pipe (4).
  5. Remove the evaporative emission canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Replacement .
  6. Remove the fuel pump. Refer to Fuel Pump Replacement .
  7. Remove the fuel tank heat shield. Refer to Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement .
