Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel lower module replacement of driver side, if equipped. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side .
  3. Remove the steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  4. Remove the instrument panel lower reinforcement bracket. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Reinforcement Bracket Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electric power steering module connectors.

  7. Remove the electric power steering module bracket bolts (1).
  8. Remove the electric power steering module and bracket assembly from the vehicle.

  10. Remove the electric power steering module to bracket bolts (1).
  11. Remove the electric power steering module (2) from the electric power steering module bracket (3).
