Installation Procedure

  1. Position the electronic power steering control module (2) on the electronic power steering control module bracket (3).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the electronic power steering motor control module to bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 3 (27 lb in).

  3. Position the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket in the vehicle.
  4. Install the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 18 (13 lb ft).
  5. Connect the electrical connectors.
  6. Install the driver side instrument panel lower airbag. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side .
  7. Install the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  8. Install the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  9. If a NEW electronic power steering motor control module is installed, program the module. Refer to Power Steering Control Module Programming and Setup .
