Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Remove the driver side instrument panel lower airbag. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side .
  4. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
  5. Fig 1: Electric Power Steering Module Bracket Bolts

  6. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1).
  7. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket from the vehicle.

  9. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module to bracket bolts (1).
  10. Remove the electronic power steering control module (2) from the electronic power steering control module bracket (3).
