Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Rail And Fuel Injector

  1. Install the fuel rail and fuel injector (1).
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the fuel rail retaining bolts (1, 2) and tighten to 10 (89 lb in).

  4. Install the intake manifold bracket (5).
  5. Install the 2 intake manifold rear bracket bolts (up) (3) and tighten to 22 (16 lb ft).
  6. Install the intake manifold rear bracket bolt (down) (4) and tighten to 58 (42 lb ft).
  7. Connect the starter connector wiring harness plug (1).
  8. Connect the generator connector wiring harness plug (2).
  9. Install the exhaust front pipe assembly. Refer to Exhaust Front Pipe Replacement (LL0) .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the fuel rail and fuel injector connector.
  12. Connect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting to the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  13. Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LL0) , Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LFM) .
  14. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  15. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
