Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Feed Hose Connector

  1. Install the fuel rail and fuel injector (3).
  2. Install the fuel injector rail wiring harness (2) and connect the 4 fuel injector electrical connectors.
  3. Connect the fuel feed hose connector (1) to the fuel rail.
  4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Install the fuel rail retaining bolts (1, 2) and tighten to 10 (89 lb in)
  6. Install the intake manifold rear bracket. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (LFM) .
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LL0) , Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement (LFM) .
  9. Install the 4 ignition coil connectors. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement (LL0) , Ignition Coil Replacement (LFM) .
  10. Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement (LFM) .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
