Approximate Fluid Capacities

The following approximate capacities are given in US English and metric conversions. See Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations  for more information. All capacities are approximate. When adding, be sure to fill to the approximate level, as recommended in this manual. Recheck fluid level after filling.

Compressor Replacement
NOTE:

Compressor failure can occur if the oil removed during refrigerant recovery is not replaced. The service compressor is shipped with 40 ml2 (1.4 oz2 ) of PAG oil.

Refrigerant Charge 0.65 kg 1.75 lb
1 Abrupt refrigerant loss due to large leak, hose rupture, collision, or pressure relief valve opening. Conditions that allow the refrigerant to seep or bleed off over time do not cause this oil loss. Upon replacement of a component that caused a large refrigerant loss, also add the required amount of oil for the particular component.
2 If more than the specified amount of PAG oil was drained from a component, add the amount drained.
