Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Tank Strap Fastener

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Use a suitable jack and install the fuel tank.
  2. Install Fuel Tank (3).
  3. Install Fuel Tank Strap (2).
  4. Install Fuel Tank Strap Fastener (1) and tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

  5. Connect Evaporative Emission Line (3).Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  6. Connect Fuel Feed Line (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. Connect Electrical Connector (1).

  8. Connect Evaporative Emission Line (3).Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Install Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2).
  10. Install Hose Clamp (1) and tighten 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  11. Connect Electrical Connector (2).
  12. Connect Evaporative Emission Line (1). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  13. Raise the rear frame. Rear Frame Replacement
  14. Install Parking Brake Rear Cable - Right Side. Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Right Side
  15. Install Parking Brake Rear Cable - Left Side. Parking Brake Rear Cable Replacement - Left Side .
  16. Fuel Tank Heat Shield» Install and tighten 5.5 N.m (49 lb in)
  17. Install Propeller Shaft. Propeller Shaft Replacement .
  18. Install Exhaust System. Exhaust System Replacement .
  19. Install the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  20. Refill the fuel tank.
  21. Inspect for fuel leaks.
