- This is an overview of different serial data buses used by GM devices to communicate with each others. Use Data Communication Schematics to find out which serial data buses are configured for a specific vehicle.
- The block diagrams are used as a simple way to show how a specific serial data bus is configured in a vehicle. The block diagrams should not be used to diagnose the vehicle issue. For accurate vehicle contents, refer to Data Communication Schematics .
