Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Disconnect the starter connector. Refer to Starter Replacement . Disconnect the generator connector. Refer to Generator Replacement . Remove the intake manifold rear bracket. Refer to Lower Intake Manifold Replacement (LFM) . Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness connector.
1	Knock Sensor Retaining Bolt CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the knock sensor retaining bolt. Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

Disconnect the generator connector. Refer to Generator Replacement .

Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness connector.

Knock Sensor Retaining Bolt

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure
Remove the knock sensor retaining bolt.
Tighten
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
