Removal Procedure

WARNING: The noise cancelling foam component MUST be replaced if it has been exposed to engine fluids. Failure to replace the noise cancelling foam component that has been exposed to engine fluids may result in an engine fire resulting in catastrophic engine damage and possible injury or death.
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose» Remove - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement 
  4. Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1)» Remove [2x]

  5. Engine Wiring Harness Bracket» (2) Position aside
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector. (2)

  7. Fuel Pump Insulator (3) @ Fuel Pump (1)» Remove
  8. Fuel Feed Front Pipe (1) @ Fuel Pump (2)» Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  9. Install the special tool: EN-6015  plugs.
  10. Fuel Feed Front Pipe (2) @ Fuel Feed Pipe (1)» Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  11. Install the special tool: EN-6015  plugs.
