Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank (1) to the jack (3).

    NOTE: A second technician is required.
  2. Position and raise the fuel tank (1).
  3. Fuel Tank Strap (2)» Install [2x]
  4. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (4)» Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft) [4x]
    CAUTION: Fastener Caution
  5. Lower and remove the hydraulic jack. (3)
  6. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

  7. Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe (2)» Reposition

  8. Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe (2) @ Evaporative Emission Canister (1)» Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Close all connections with EN-6015  plugs.

  10. Connect the evaporative emission canister front pipe (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  11. Fuel Feed Pipe - Underbody (1)» Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  12. Remove the EN-6015  plugs from all connections.

  13. Fuel Tank Vent Pipe (1) - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  14. Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2)» Install
  15. Clamp (3)» Tighten 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
  16. Position both parking brake cables.

  17. Parking Brake Cable (2) @ Parking Brake Cable Bracket (1)» Install
  18. Parking Brake Cable (2) @ Retainer (4)» Install [2x]
  19. Parking Brake Cable Nut (3)» Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in) [2x]
  20. Fuel Tank Heat Shield (1)» Install - Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement

  21. Exhaust System (1)» Install - Exhaust System Replacement

    NOTE: Do not cut the exhaust system.
  22. Lower the vehicle.
  23. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
