Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Fuel Injector, Fuel Rail, Retaining Clips And Seals

  1. Apply a small amount of clean motor oil to the O-rings (3) and (5), before installing the new fuel injector.
  2. Install the NEW injector upper O-ring seals (3) to the injectors.
  3. Install the NEW injector lower O-ring seals (5) to the injectors.
  4. Install the fuel injector (4) in the fuel rail (1).
  5. Install the retaining clips for the fuel injector (3).
  6. Install the fuel rail assembly. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement .
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
