Installation Procedure

Install the steering gear boot seal (1) on the steering gear housing.
Apply a small amount of Lithium Grease or equivalent to the seal before installing.

Position a NEW steering gear boot inner clamp (1) and steering gear boot (2) on the steering gear.
Apply a small amount of Lithium Grease or equivalent to the inside of both ends of the steering gear boot before installing.
Use the CH-22610 pliers to crimp the steering gear boot inner clamp (1).

NOTE:

Align the match marks on the steering linkage inner tie rod nut and the steering linkage inner tie rod previously recorded.
Do NOT tighten the steering linkage inner tie rod nut during installation. Tighten the nut after adjusting the front toe.

Install the steering linkage inner tie rod nut (1).
Install Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod - Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement
Measure and adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment
