Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment

  1. Before performing any adjustment affecting the wheel alignment, refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement .
  2. Fig 1: Tie Rod Jam Nut

  3. Ensure that the steering wheel is set in a straight ahead position.
  4. Loosen the tie rod jam nut (1).
  5. Adjust the toe to specification by turning the tie rod (2). Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications .
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Tighten the tie rod jam nut (1) to: 68 N.m (50 lb ft).
  7. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
