Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Electric Power Steering Module And Bracket Bolts

  1. Position the electronic power steering control module (2) on the electronic power steering control module bracket (3).
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the electronic power steering motor control module to bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  3. Position the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket in the vehicle.
  4. Install the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  5. Connect any electrical connectors as necessary.
  6. Install Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Driver Side Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side
  7. Install Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
  8. Install Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement
  9. If a NEW electronic power steering motor control module is installed, program the module. Control Module References
