Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column upper trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  3. Remove the I/P knee bolster. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the electronic power steering motor control module.

  5. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module bracket bolts (1).
  6. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module and bracket assembly from the vehicle.

  7. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module mounting bolts (1).
  8. Remove the electronic power steering motor control module (2) from the electronic power steering motor control module bracket (3).
